Noah's big trip

I know, I know! Way too much time has passed since my last update but I have an excuse! Eric came to visit and I surprised him for his birthday and for our first anniversary with a cycling trip to Mallorca/Spain! Our first family vacation and Noah's first big trip. We spend fantastic days together, made great friends and relaxed! Noah learned how to sit up all by himself! If this is not exciting enough, we got stranded in paradise - literally! Air travel in Europe was seriously affected by a volcanic eruption on Iceland and the cloud of ash issuing from the volcano. Our flight home on Sunday got cancelled and we got a new one for the following Saturday. I think we were the only people that were happy about the situation. We loved Mallorca! Eric got to ride Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday on a Storck bicycle and we got to hang out and explore the island. Mallorca has a lot to offer - ocean, beaches, mountains, tiny towns, the capitol city Palma - we got to experience a lot. One day we rented a Mini and Eric showed us the mountains and switchbacks he rode the previous days. The landscape is amazing and we got to go to a perfect time of the year. The tourist season did not start yet and the weather was perfect. Noah and I had the beach almost to our selfs every day. He loved the ocean. I was carrying him in the Manduca and as soon as we hit the beach and he was listening to the waves he was sound asleep.
